Accommodation

For our 4-week-stay in Helsinki, we booked an Airbnb in Kalasatama, which is located slightly outside of the city center, but that was still well connected to the Metro.
The apartment turned out to be one of our highlights during the stay because it was very modern, clean and we always had a great view over the city.

It had two sleeping rooms, a bathroom and a big room that contained a couch, a dining table and a big kitchen area. The highlight of the flat was definitely the rooftop terrace that was divided in a conservatory part and an open part, so we could always switch to the glassed-in part if it became too cold outside.

The area around the apartment was also very nice to explore. It is located very close to an island, that was perfect for an evening walk or picnic and its only a 10 minute walk from a real insider tipp in Helsinki. The Sompasauna is the only free Sauna in Helsinki, its run by volunteers and after the real fnnish sauna experience, you can take a cold bath in the Baltic Sea.
