    Suomenlinna 
    Suomenlinna is a sea fortress, located south-east of the city center, built on six islands. It's a UNESCO World Heritage site and a popular place for tourists and locals.






    Senate Square
    The Senaatintori is a square in the center of Helsinki. It's surrounded by landmarks and central buildings such as the main building of the University of Helsinki, the Government Palace and Helsinki Cathedral. 


    Helsinki Cathedral
    The Finnish Evangelical Lutheran cathedral is one of the major landmarks of the capital of Finland. Its built in neoclassical style with its green high dome surrounded by four small domes. 






    Uspensky Cathedral

    It's an eastern orthodox cathedral, which was built after the death of its designing architect. With its golden cupolas and redbrick facade, the church is one of the clearest symbols of the Russian impact on Finnish history. 



    Kamppi Chapel
    Kampin kappeli is a ecumenical chapel in the district of Kamppi, located on the Narinkka Square. It's also known as the Chapel of Silence because it's meant as a place to calm down and enjoy a moment of silence in one of the busiest areas of Helsinki. 







    Rock Church

    Temppelliaukio Church This lutheran church can be found in the Töölö neighborhood of Helsinki was opened in 1969. It's excavated into solid rock and a great piece of architecture, since the interior walls are of rugged rock and rubble wall and the church hall is covered with a copper lined dome.





    Old Market Hall 

    In the Vanha Kauppahalli, merchants sell everything from cheese, fish, shellfish, vegetables and fruits to tea and coffee. It was opened in 1889 and nowadays offers various of food from all around the world. 





    Sibellius Monument

    The famous tourist attraction is located in the Sibelius park in the district of Töölö at the western coast of the city. The statue is dedicated to the Finnish composer Jean Sibelius and consists of 600 hollow steel pipes welded together in a wave-like pattern.




    Cafe Regatta
    Cafe Regatta is an outdoor cafe in a small red cottage by the sea in Töölö, close to the Sibelius Monument with traditional Finnish interior and decoration. They serve the famous cinnamon buns and fresh coffee. It also offers to grill the sausages you bought from the cafe on an open fire. 





    Finlandia Hall
    The Finlandia is a dynamic, multipurpose venue in the center of Helsinki. It's one of the most iconic buildings by the most famous finnish architect Alvar Aalto. 



    Musiikkitalo

    The Helsinki Music Center is a concert and event venue, that is open to all. Part of it belongs to the Sibelius Academy, which is a university-level music school. The building can be found next to the new central library and Finlandia Hall.




    Helsinki Central Library
    Helsinki's new central library Oodi was opened on the 5th of December 2018, so it is a very modern new building. Besides being a very beautiful library, the building offers a lot of facilities to the people such as 3D-printers, sewing machines, gaming rooms, a large format printer or several meeting rooms.





    - Oodi is one of the freest buildings in Helsinki, or even the Nordic Countries, where the visitor can do many things and take initiative in what they want to do. It is a constantly learning and developing tool for those living in or visiting Helsinki. -
